Nikki Capra is a composer and sound designer for media, chamber music, and fixed media. Often described as a storyteller and commended for her work as an edgy and creative sound design artist, Nikki writes about everything from the human condition to artificial intelligence.
She has written for Talujon percussion ensemble, as well as the Black Box Theatre in Miami, FL. Her chamber work has been performed by acclaimed musicians such as John Benthal, River Guerguerian, Fung Chern Hwei (Sirius Quartet), and David Cossin (Bang-on-a-Can All-Stars).
Nikki earned her MFA in Music Composition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts, mentored by COPILOT Music + Sound's award-winning co-founder Ravi Krishnaswami, as well as composer John Mallia whose chamber works have been performed worldwide.
